My Dell XPS 710 arrived today with an nVidia GTX 8800 graphics card and my new 30 inch flatpanel. Below I am trying to fit the Dell XPS 710 into the rack space I carefully designed for it 3 months ago. Yeah, it doesn't fit. :-)
When something doesn't fit, you have two choices. You can make the thing smaller, or the enclosure WIDER. I chose the latter:
And finally, here it is driving the 2,560x1600 30 inch Dell 3007WFP monitor *AND* the 20 inch Samsung SyncMaster 204B 1,600x1200 all on one desktop. Yes, that picture you see on screen is showing in a single web browser showing 4,160 pixels across. This is driven by the astoundingly wonderful, out of the box, XPS system (mainly the graphics card which is the nVidia GTX 8800 768MB). Notice the 12 inch ruler leaning between the monitors.
