Angel Pennington
Before discovering pilates, Angel studied dance in Seattle as a youth before moving to Los Angeles where she found a passion for tap dance. She danced and toured locally with her mother, Denise, and taught tap dance for over 10 years at The Colburn School of Performing Arts in downtown Los Angeles. She also holds a M.A. in Urban Education through UCLA and has over 20 years of Early Education teaching experience.
As for many, pilates has been a life-changing endeavor, and for her, has helped with injury recovery and overall physical health. She is currently practicing and teaching with the next goal in mind-to obtain a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certificate through Core Conditioning and to help others reach their personal best and feel great!
She is a lover of Iyengar Yoga, hiking, and indoor cycling. She can very often be found with her husband, David, on the beautiful trails surrounding the valley or deep into research for the next travel destination. Best croissant, anyone?

Risa Mitsuhashi
Risa discovered Pilates in 2008 as a pathway to recovery from years of ballet-related injuries and intensive conditioning. Her practice has since spanned various methodologies, Classical, Contemporary to Athletic with a deep-rooted dedication to Contrology - Classical Pilates in the lineage of Jay Grimes.
She joined Core Conditioning to further her belief in Pilates as a holistic system—one that delivers effective, corrective exercise for all bodies, across all walks of life. With both parents living with Parkinson’s disease, Risa’s approach to physical wellness is deeply personal, forcused on empowering others through movement, strength, and mobility.
Outside the studio, Risa embraces her own physical and mental well-being through boxing, modern dance (Graham and Horton), and various wellness practices such as Oxygen Advantage breathwork and the Feldenkrais Method.
