In this activity, you will explore how new words are created and how they enter and evolve within a language. By researching the concepts of Word Formation, Morphology, Linguistic Loans, and Neologisms, you will gain a deeper understanding of how language develops and adapts over time.

Your task is to create a digital presentation that explains each of these concepts using clear definitions, relevant examples, and two practical ideas for integrating each into English language teaching. Use creative tools like Canva, Genially, or Google Slides to present your findings in an engaging and visually organized way.

To analyze the concepts of Word Formation, Morphology, Linguistic Loans and Neologisms to develop a comprehensive understanding of their role in language development by conducting a short research on the main concepts of Word Formation.

Instructions: 

1. Read and take notes from the following article:

    An Introduction to Language.

2. Then, research the concepts of:

    Word Formation.
    Morphology.
    Linguistic Loans.
    Neologisms.

3. Based on the information analyzed, create a digital presentation. Your presentation must include at least one slide per concept, with the following information for each of the four terms:

    A clear and concise definition.
    At least two examples that illustrate the concept.
    Two practical ideas or activities to apply this concept in classroom teaching (e.g., group work, games, worksheets, creative tasks).

4. Use a clear and attractive design: Include images, icons, or visual elements to support understanding and engagement. Avoid overcrowding your slides with too much text.

5. Submit your final presentation in the task mailbox (e.g., as a PDF file or shareable link), and make sure you do so before the deadline.
