There is a big impact on how the students learn based on their context and characteristics, context includes learning environment, classroom context, school context and community context.

Learning objective: 

To illustrate the context and characteristics of the students through the use of a mind map with the interest of using relevant keywords.

Instructions: 

1. Read and take notes from the following article:

    “School context, Student attitudes and behavior and academic achievement“

2. Research additional information from reliable sources to strengthen your understanding from the topic.

3. After reading, organize your notes. Focus on the context and characteristics of the students, and note any other relevant information.

4. Once you have all the information needed, go to Lucidchart and sign up for a free account if you don’t have one already.

5. Start creating your mind map by following these steps:

    Begin with the main concept in the center of the map.
    Add branches that represent major subtopics such as school environment, student attitudes, behavior patterns, and academic outcomes.
    Under each branch, add supporting details or examples you found in the text.
    Use images, icons, and colors to visually organize your ideas and make the map more engaging and easier to understand.

6. Write a final reflection as a conclusion (150-200 words). Discuss how the school context, student attitudes, and behaviors influence academic achievement. Reflect on the importance of understanding these factors to create a supportive learning environment. Consider how a positive school context can shape students' attitudes and behaviors, and how these, in turn, impact their academic success. Emphasize the interconnectedness of these elements and their role in improving learning outcomes.

7. Submit your final work by uploading your mind map and reflection to the task mailbox.
